like sexual tension? so do we.

ArMor is canon and nothing hurts.

He left the window and came to stand before her. He did not reply at once, but reached out to trace the curve of her cheek with his forefinger. Then: "We have been happy" Their eyes held together, and then he bent his dark head to hers. His lips were hard and soft, cool and burning. She ran her hands up and down his bare back. "Come to bed," he murmured against her mouth.

Merlin S5 | Bradley, Colin, Angel & Katie - cast interview [better quality | no spoilers]

Interviewer: Couples have come out of that show.

Alexander Vlahos: Yeah, I think so *laughs*

Interviewer: Yeah, we know about that, and hardcore-merliners know about that too, but they’re not here to speak for themselves

Alexander Vlahos: I wish they were!

And the fandom begins screaming and insisting every single one of their couples are canon.

Well clearly ours….

Bradley & Katie Bits From Today’s Interviews!

Interviewer: So Bradley, after playing a knight for so many years, have you ever invoked your knightly chivalry off set?

Katie: He held the door open for me once. That was nice.

Bradley: Um, I would say I was an incredible chivalrous man anyway, so that’s why I was given the part [all laugh] - due to my natural level of chivalrous-ness. It’s widely known actually. Throughout the lands.

Interviewer: So it’s just been announced that season 5 is the final season. Now that the cat’s out of the bag, admit it, how long have you known?

Katie: I think we’ve always known, to be honest. The producers were always pretty clear that they had a five-year plan for the story for all our characters and they had written the stories for those characters based on us doing those five years. So we were always kind of aware that we would do that. We weren’t sure we would get those five years, so we were very grateful we’d be able to see it through to the end.

Bradley: We’ve had time to marinade on the thought of it finishing, so its something that we’ve been expecting

What will you miss most about Merlin?

Bradley: THE PEOPLE! The people we work with. We had a great crew and a we had a lot of fun people in the cast and that will be, well, it will be a pleasure to miss them because we have such fond memories of so many people who made it such a fun experience.

Anyone in particular?

Bradley: Uh, no - I think that’s the great thing about it. We have that many people within the crew who [were] a joy to spend time with. As a note to the cast, I think one of the joys that made it possible to do the show and keep the enthusiasm is that each day you’d come to work and you’d be working with some really fun people. I count myself very lucky that I was cast with the people I was cast with, so that is what we’ll miss.

Interviewer: What has it been like for all of you about the fan reaction the series has gotten

Katie: I have yet to have a negative experience with the fans. So I feel very lucky that we have such funny and creative fans. Fans from a broad spectrum of backgrounds, countries and walks of life. It’s amazing when you go out to meet them in large groups and you can see how far Merlin has spread and how many different people’s lives Merlin has touched.Bradley used the word earlier that It’s humbling that this little show that you made about magic has touched so many people’s lives.

….

Interviewer: So you’ve been doing this for days. Is there any completely obscure or random question you had a prepared answer for that no one has asked?

Katie: Well now see this is good because this means you’ve asked the perfect question for each of us without actually asking us the question - that’s very smart. We’ve been doing these interviews for, at least what, 7-8 hours today? So there aren’t a lot of questions that haven’t been asked.

Bradley: I’d say that all the questions so far today that have surprised us have been the ones we have enjoyed answering. But then - it’s difficult for you guys because you’re up against all these people today - how on earth are you supposed to come up with an original question? It’s a tough task! That - in itself -

Katie: Is a pretty good question!

Bradley: Is a relatively original question! Congratulations! [laughs]

Momentos Taken From the Merlin Set

We had a wonderful fan question for the three of you; they asked if you kept anything from set as a memento after filming was wrapped for the final time?

Bradley James: Uh, yeah, Excalibur is going to find it’s way into my house pretty soon.

Katie McGrath: I was quite lucky that, since my costume didn’t really change of the past few years, they had quite a few examples of it so they gave me the oldest and most ratty one - but I did get a version of my costume to keep.

Colin Morgan: I have kept a few things, but they are for people, so in case it gets publicized [before I’m ready], I’m gonna wait.

Bradley James & Katie McGrath on the Show’s Ending:

Bradley James: “The Merlin years have provided me with fond memories, great experiences and beloved friends and all the while we were supported by a devoted fan base who made the show a unique, surreal and special experience. My words won’t do justice to the honour of being King Arthur so I shall just say that it has been an exceptional one and that knowing the show has been a part of so many people’s lives, has been humbling.”

Katie McGrath: “I have always said the success of the show has stemmed from our audience being able to relate to the characters on different levels - being based on the universally loved Arthurian legend is only a tiny part of its success - it’s a story about acceptance and growing up. The breathtaking finale of this series leaves you with no doubt that characters have been on their journeys and had their stories told - it’s completely the right time to draw our telling of the story to a close.”
